Co-operatives of the Americas is hiring for 2 new positions

Co-operatives of the Americas is looking for a Development Officer and a Knowledge Management Officer to join its #coops4dev team working on promoting the cooperative business model in global and regional development policies.

The key responsibilities of the Development Officer are:
 Promote and support the formulation of proposals and the execution of projects with the contribution of the European Union to promote the participation, strengthening and dissemination of the cooperative model for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
 Improve the capacity of cooperative leaders to promote and implement the 2030 Agenda in their organizations and countries, build and exchange knowledge to ensure that professionals and decision makers at all levels can access knowledge and share their knowledge on all aspects of sustainable cooperation.
 Establish relationships and networks of collaborations with other public and private actors profit and non-profit of civil society and international organizations to achieve the goals and objectives assigned.
 Formulate and execute development projects together with the members of Cooperatives of the Americas trough different actors of international cooperation and development assistance.
 Lead the implementation of the "Regional Platform of the Americas: Cooperatives in Development", in coordination with the rest of the Project team; and guarantee the prompt and adequate development and operation of the platform to facilitate communication and the exchange of information.

In the case of the Knowledge Managet Officer, its main responsibililtes are

 Promote and lead the creation and implementation of a knowledge management strategy within the project "Cooperatives in development: people centered business in action".
 Ensure that the lessons learned, experiences and best practices of the project are documented and disseminated opportunely and systematically among the members of Cooperative of the Americas and the other regional offices of ICA.
 Implement the knowledge management strategy and the dissemination of project information, in close coordination with the Communications Officer, the rest of the project team and the Regional Director of Cooperatives of the Americas.
 Assure the necessary conditions to create and implement, in the Americas region, the “Cooperative Institute for Knowledge Development” on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
 Train a group of selected experts and provide advice and solutions to the Regional Director on political or economic regional problems on the cooperative sector.
 Advise the Regional Director in the preparation of the Strategic Plan for Cooperatives of the Americas 2020-2030 for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations for Sustainable Development.
 Prepare an effective and innovative strategy for the visibility of the project that allows the correct knowledge management
