Seminar and Virtual Coaching: "Keys to Successfully Apply Telework in Your Cooperative Organization"

Cooperatives of the Americas, within the framework of the ACI-EUROPEAN UNION Program: COOPS4DEV🌎, designed a VIRTUAL SEMINAR AND COACHING: KEYS TO SUCCESSFULLY APPLY TELEWORK IN YOUR COOPERATIVE ORGANIZATION, in response to the need of cooperative organizations against COVID-19 in the Region, as well as part of the action and contribution to the scope of the 2030 Agenda specifically : Decent work and economic growth and SDG 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure.
Telework has become more relevant in the situation of the pandemic caused by COVID-19. It is of paramount importance that cooperative organizations successfully implement this modality of work, in order to ensure the continuity of activities more effectively and thus also be able to adapt to the dynamics of the future of work set out in the "ILO Centennial Declaration for the Future of Work". Likewise, the correct implementation of telework in their organizations will help contribute to the scope of the 2030 Agenda specifically SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.
This instrument was aimed at leaders of the cooperative movement who are part of the membership of the International Cooperative Alliance in their region of the Americas, especially the leaders and their Teams of Human Talent. This seminar was held in two virtual group sessions that will allow cooperative organizations to have theoretical and practical knowledge from the conceptual, legal side, as well as the guidelines for the protocolization of telework in their organization, recommendations for virtual team leadership, tips for conducting successful meetings, systems of monitoring tasks and responsibilities in telework and the tools available. As a product of the training, participants obtained a kit of tools to use during the implementation of this mode of work in their organization.
As a practical development for participants gotomeeting, miro, kahoot, among others, was used. After the two virtual sessions, the regional office team made available the development of coaching sessions with each organization to practically apply telework with the structuring and/or improvement of a telework protocol adapted to their organization.
The world is on pause, but we remain active.
