Rochdale Pioneers Museum launches new website
People can take a walk through co-operative history on the brand new Rochdale Pioneers Museum’s website.
The newly refurbished Museum is giving visitors a sneak peak into what they can expect to find when it reopens this summer; as well as a timeline of co-operation, memories, resources, details of upcoming events, and an online shop.
The website was designed by Salford-based Carbon Creative who also designed the Co-operative College site.
The Museum has undergone a major makeover funded by a Heritage Lottery grant for the UN’s 2012 International Year of Co-operatives.
Visitors to the website will also be able to read about the history of the Museum, which was set up to preserve the original store of the Rochdale Pioneers at 31 Toad Lane.
The Rochdale Equitable Pioneers Society was founded in 1844 and is known as the beginning of the co-operative movement.
